Robot mowers are expensive, and whether one works depends almost entirely on the yard it lands in: how steep it is, how many trees shade it, whether the front and back lawns connect, how the signal reaches the corners. Marketing pages do not know your yard. Yard Truth measures it, then ranks mowers by fit.

Who runs it

Yard Truth is owned and operated by Baxter Ventures, a small independent publisher in the United States. We are not affiliated with any mower manufacturer or retailer, and no brand can pay for a better placement. Reach us through the contact page.

What we are, and are not

We are a fit advisor. We combine public parcel and elevation data, satellite imagery, manufacturer specifications and owner-reported outcomes to say which mowers suit a specific lawn and where each one will struggle. We are not a testing lab: unless a page says otherwise, specifications are quoted from manufacturers and labelled as such. Where we estimate, we say so.

Corrections
